....verse.... was conceived as a musical poem. Formally, it aims to simulate the rhythm and phrasing of a specific line from a classical Chinese poem — Sheng Sheng Man, by Li Qingzhao (寻寻觅觅，冷冷清清， 凄凄惨惨戚戚 - <<声声慢>>, 李清照).  Sonically, it attempts to convey a sense of speaking by utilizing various sounds from the instruments, as well as vocalization of the performers. From the perspective of performance, it examines the relationship between physical gesture and sound; does the body determine the sound, or it is the opposite?
